
Kolkata, July 18: West Bengal Minister Tapas Roy made a significant statement regarding national security and industrial development in the state. He emphasized that the safety of the nation is the top priority, and there can be no compromise on this issue. He also urged industrialists to invest and establish industries in West Bengal.
Tapas Roy stated that both the central and state governments are working diligently with national and internal security in mind. Given past incidents, efforts are being made to ensure that such events do not recur in the future. To this end, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is discussing issues related to the strategically important Chicken Neck corridor.
He mentioned that the Chief Minister, Director General of Police (DGP), Chief Secretary, and Home Secretary are all actively involved in this crucial matter. Tapas Roy noted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Kolkata on Saturday evening, and a new Amul unit will be inaugurated on Sunday.
Speaking on industrial development, Tapas Roy stated that the West Bengal government is continuously striving to increase investment in the state. He revealed that the government is reaching out to industrialists and businessmen who had previously left Bengal for various reasons, inviting them to return and establish industries or expand their existing businesses.
Tapas Roy appealed, “We urge everyone to encourage their friends and relatives to set up industries in West Bengal. Our government is fully industry-friendly. We are making efforts to bring back those who left West Bengal so they can establish their industries here. The government is ready to provide every possible assistance and support to investors.”
He assured that the state government is fully committed to creating a favorable environment for industries and providing support to investors at all levels.
