NANA PATOLE RESPONDS TO KANGANA RANAUTS COMMENTS ON RAHUL GANDHI

Mumbai, March 18: Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole has hit back at BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s recent remarks. He stated that she is not just an artist but a parliamentarian, and her comments regarding Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi are inappropriate.

During a media interaction in Mumbai, Patole emphasized that it is not right to speak excessively about Ranaut, as she is a woman, and respecting women is our duty. He asserted that Ranaut has no right to dictate what Rahul Gandhi should wear. He drew a parallel to Mahatma Gandhi, who wore a dhoti during the freedom struggle and faced criticism from the British, yet played a crucial role in securing independence for the country.

Patole highlighted that Rahul Gandhi is continuously working to free the nation from the BJP’s influence and is educating the public. He refrained from commenting on whether Ranaut’s statements are good or bad but insisted that as a parliamentarian, she should think before making such remarks.

He also took a jab at Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, stating that Shinde’s own condition reflects the dire circumstances created by the BJP. Patole noted that the gas crisis in Maharashtra is worsening, affecting daily needs, with people waiting in long lines for gas. He questioned the government’s threats of action against those who share images of the situation, asking if democracy has come to an end.

Patole claimed that a form of authoritarianism has emerged in Maharashtra, and the media is revealing the truth. He urged Shinde to acknowledge the situation instead of going to Delhi to complain about Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He expressed skepticism about the BJP replacing Fadnavis with Shinde as Chief Minister.

Patole concluded by suggesting that something significant may be brewing behind the scenes.
