Upon receiving the award, Mushfiqur expressed his gratitude, stating, “Being named ICC Player of the Month again is a great honor. I am thrilled to receive this recognition for my performance in Test cricket. My teammate Taijul played a vital role in our memorable series win against Pakistan. This victory is something we will all remember for a long time. It also helped us improve our standing in the ICC World Test Championship, making this achievement even more special for the team. I thank my teammates and support staff for their assistance, and I look forward to contributing further to Bangladesh’s success in the coming months.”
Mushfiqur’s consistent performance, leadership, and ability to perform under pressure earned him the Player of the Series award, contributing to Bangladesh’s remarkable 2-0 victory.
This latest honor underscores Mushfiqur’s significance to Bangladesh cricket. Despite nearing the end of his international career, he continues to play a pivotal role in the team’s success. His performance against Pakistan not only secured a memorable series win but also strengthened Bangladesh’s hopes in the race for the World Test Championship final.
