Motorola Unveils moto sound flow, Its First Portable Speaker with Bose Sound

Motorola has entered the portable speaker market with the launch of the moto sound flow, its first standalone portable speaker, introduced at CES 2026. Designed for users seeking high-quality sound combined with smart features, this speaker integrates seamlessly with smartphones for an enhanced audio experience.

The moto sound flow features audio tuning by Bose, delivering 30W of power. It incorporates a dedicated woofer and tweeter, complemented by dual passive radiators. This configuration ensures clear vocals, crisp highs, and robust bass that maintains quality even at higher volumes. Unlike typical party speakers, it is crafted for everyday listening at home as well.

Durable Battery and Design

Equipped with a 6000mAh battery, the moto sound flow supports long listening sessions without frequent recharging. The speaker carries an IP67 rating, providing resistance against dust and water, making it suitable for outdoor use, travel, or placement near water bodies. Its design features a twill-textured fabric finish and comes in two Pantone-curated colours: PANTONE Carbon and PANTONE Warm Taupe.

Advanced Connectivity with Ultra-Wideband Technology

A standout feature of the moto sound flow is its use of ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. When paired with a compatible phone, the speaker can automatically switch ongoing music or calls without manual pairing. Additionally, if two moto sound flow speakers are used together, the Dynamic Stereo function adjusts the left and right audio channels based on the phone’s position, preserving stereo sound quality.

The speaker’s companion app enhances smart functionality. Features like Quick Switch enable gesture-based audio transfer from smartphones or moto buds, while RoomShift automatically moves audio to the nearest speaker as users move between rooms with a UWB-enabled phone. The app supports both Android and iOS platforms.

Connectivity and Availability

For connectivity, the moto sound flow supports Wi-Fi for home streaming and Bluetooth 5 for wireless use on the move. Pricing starts at €199, with the product set to launch soon across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific regions.
