Moscow Metro Launches Train Celebrating Chinese New Year

Moscow, February 19: A special ceremony was held to launch a train themed around the Chinese New Year in the Moscow Metro. The event featured notable attendees, including Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Chang Hanhui, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, and Moscow’s Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry, Maxim Liksutov.

Reports indicate that the Chinese New Year has officially arrived in Moscow, marking the beginning of the celebrations. The metro train, inspired by the Spring Festival, is beautifully decorated and aims to transport passengers while sharing stories of Chinese culture.

The train’s interior and exterior are adorned with elements of Chinese tradition and a festive atmosphere. Ancient Chinese poems and illustrations reflecting traditional Chinese culture are displayed in both Chinese and Russian, creating a rich cultural environment for Moscow residents traveling by metro.

Maria Zakharova emphasized that Moscow residents greatly enjoy this event.
