Moisés Caicedo Reflects on Chelsea Journey and Commitment to Improvement

Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo shares his growth and commitment to the club after a strong performance against Bournemouth.

London, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Moisés Caicedo, Chelsea’s midfielder, has expressed his desire to continually improve and contribute more to the team. Reflecting on his time at Stamford Bridge, he described it as a journey that has helped him mature both as a player and as a person.

The 24-year-old Ecuadorian joined Chelsea on August 14, 2023, and has established himself as a key figure in the midfield. After missing several matches at the start of the current season, Caicedo made a strong return on Saturday, playing a pivotal role in Chelsea’s impressive 5-1 victory over Bournemouth.

Recalling his experiences, Caicedo acknowledged the challenges he faced early in the season, which he believes have contributed to his growth and provided him with invaluable lessons. In an interview published by Chelsea, he stated, “It has been a wonderful journey for me, spending over three special years with one of the best clubs in the world. I would say I encountered some tough moments in my first season. They helped me grow, continuously develop, and reach the position I am in today. Looking back, I can say I am grateful for the circumstances I went through.”

Caicedo expressed gratitude for the support he has received from the club and is committed to proving that trust through his performances. “I am enjoying trying to do everything for this club because they have given me everything. They have supported me in every way, and because of them, I have progressed significantly. Now, I have more experience, I am more mature, and I just want to keep learning and continue what I am doing.”

Understanding the responsibility of being part of Chelsea’s leadership group, Caicedo prefers to lead by example rather than through words. However, he acknowledged the need to be more vocal on the pitch. “I think every coach tells me that I can improve my communication on the field. They know I am a leader, but it would be better for me if I spoke more with the players. I try my best, but it’s not in my nature. So when I can’t speak, I try to show more through my actions.”

He aims to keep delivering strong performances to give supporters reasons to celebrate and hopes to win more trophies with the London club. “I can say that Chelsea is my home because they treat me as if I have been here for a long time. It is a special place for me. I just want to keep being the same, but even better on the pitch. I always want to show my teammates, coaches, and fans what I can do.”
