Rampur, June 13: A serious incident involving the abduction and alleged rape of a minor girl has emerged from the Madayan Bhajjan Pashtaur village in the Swar Kotwali area of Rampur district. The victim’s father, Ram Singh, has lodged a complaint against a local youth named Anil and his family members.
According to Ram Singh, on the night of April 18, 2026, Anil lured his minor daughter away from home. Thanks to the efforts of family members and villagers, the girl was eventually returned home. During this ordeal, Anil reportedly threatened the family with harm if they approached the police.
The complaint further states that shortly after the incident, the victim’s engagement was arranged with a young man from the village of Rawana in the Moradabad district. Allegedly, Anil contacted the girl’s fiancé, threatening him with violence if he proceeded with the marriage. The most serious accusation is that the victim disclosed to her mother that Anil had forced her into non-consensual sexual relations.
The victim’s family claims that when they attempted to file a complaint, Anil’s father, Ratan Lal, and brother, Sanjay, also threatened them with violence. The family has requested protection for themselves.
The Swar police have registered a case against Anil, his father Ratan Lal, brother Sanjay, and others under relevant sections of the IPC, including those concerning the abduction of a minor, rape, and threats. The police have initiated an investigation and claim they will soon apprehend all accused individuals.
