Minister Accuses Congress Spokespersons Son of Involvement in Devas Liquor Scandal

Madhya Pradesh Minister Vishwas Sarang alleges Congress spokespersons son is linked to the Devas liquor scandal amid ongoing police investigations.

Bhopal, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Madhya Pradesh‘s Minister Vishwas Sarang has launched a strong attack on the Congress party regarding the Devas liquor scandal. He claims that the scandal is directly linked to Aman Kasliwal, the son of Congress spokesperson Anand Kasliwal.

Speaking to reporters, Sarang stated that the ongoing police investigation has clarified the connections surrounding the case. He asserted that Aman Kasliwal is directly involved, as the main accused, Ajju Rathore and Govind, reportedly purchased a drum of thinner from him. This information emerged during the investigation, and the accused have admitted to it.

The Kasliwal family has a history of involvement in the production of toxic liquor and related activities. Minister Sarang accused Aman Kasliwal of orchestrating an entire racket, asserting that he was its mastermind. Despite the scandal surfacing over 24 hours ago, Congress has yet to take any action against Anand Kasliwal, who continues to serve as a spokesperson and is seen alongside Jitu Patwari.

Sarang further alleged that the logistics for Congress protests, including tents, lighting, microphones, and even the electricity bills for their offices, were funded by Anand and Aman Kasliwal. He questioned whether the money used for these expenses was derived from the toxic and counterfeit liquor trade, suggesting this should also be investigated. He emphasized that the Congress party is solely responsible for the suffering of those harmed by the scandal.

Recently, reports emerged that 13 individuals died in Devas over a span of 20 days, with claims that these fatalities were linked to alcohol consumption. In response, the state government has taken significant action, removing the local collector and police superintendent, and suspending several employees involved in the case.
