Milind Soman Joins Women Participants at Fit India Sunday on Cycle Event

New Delhi, April 19: The ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ event took place at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, attracting a large number of female participants. Actor and model Milind Soman joined the women, cycling alongside them and engaging in various fitness activities. Most of the female participants donned pink attire, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

In addition to women, men also participated in the event. The cycling rally was flagged off, featuring women of all ages. Alongside cycling, the women enjoyed dancing, and Milind Soman participated in a tug-of-war event with them. After the activities, he awarded several women for their participation.

The ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ initiative is held every Sunday across various parts of the country. Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the event aims to raise health awareness among citizens, especially the youth. It also promotes cycling as a means to combat the rising obesity problem among young people and contributes to environmental sustainability.

The event is meticulously planned, inviting not only prominent figures from sports and fitness but also celebrities from other fields. The popularity of athletes and actors can inspire youth to improve their fitness, which is why a well-known personality is invited to each ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ event.

At 60 years old, Milind Soman’s fitness and energy rival that of someone half his age, making him a role model for millions of young people in the fitness domain. This is why he was invited to participate in the event.

The ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ campaign was launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in December 2024.
