Balrampur, October 14 (Daily Kiran): The onset of mild winter chill has begun in Chhattisgarh’s Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, bringing a pleasant nip in the air during mornings and evenings. Despite gentle sunlight during the day, residents have started taking precautions against the increasing cold.

According to the Meteorological Department, the morning temperature in the district hovers around 19°C, while daytime temperatures rise to 29–30°C due to light sunshine. However, the chill intensifies again during night and early morning hours, with temperatures settling between 18°C and 19°C.
The department stated that the mild cold is the result of northwesterly winds and the withdrawal of the monsoon. It has advised residents, especially the elderly and children, to protect themselves from cold winds during early morning and evening hours.
Local resident Ujjwal Tiwari said that the cool weather has brought a noticeable change in daily routines. People are making arrangements for bonfires and warm drinks to stay comfortable, particularly for children and senior citizens. Farmers in the area believe that this shift in weather is favorable for rabi crops, as mild cold conditions support healthy crop growth.
Balrampur is currently experiencing gentle winter conditions, marking the transition towards colder days ahead. The weather department expects similar mild fluctuations in temperature in the coming days.
