Washington, August 14 (Kiran News): Melania Trump, wife of former US President Donald J. Trump, has sent a legal notice of $1 billion to Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, through her legal counsel Alejandro Brito. The notice is based on what she claims are false and defamatory remarks made by Hunter Biden in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein case.

According to Fox News Digital, the First Lady of the United States has demanded that Hunter Biden apologise or face legal action. Brito reportedly sent the notice on August 6 to both Hunter Biden and his lawyer Abbe Lowell, asking that Hunter immediately retract “false, defamatory, and inflammatory statements” about Mrs. Trump. These statements were part of a video interview with Andrew Callaghan for Channel 5, posted on YouTube earlier this month.

Fox News Digital stated that it sought comment from Channel 5 via Andrew Callaghan but received no response. The notice warns that failure to comply will result in Mrs. Trump pursuing all available legal remedies for reputational damage.

In the video interview titled “Hunter Biden Returns”, Hunter Biden allegedly claimed that Jeffrey Epstein had introduced Melania to Donald Trump, suggesting their relationship was “very extensive and deep.”

Brito said Biden’s “source” for these claims was “serial fabulist Michael Wolff,” and that the falsehood had been published by The Daily Beast, which later issued an apology. The notice also instructed Biden not to destroy or alter any documents related to the false claims.

The notice stated that if Hunter Biden did not comply by 5:00 PM EST on August 7, 2025, Mrs. Trump would have no choice but to enforce her legal rights, which could include a lawsuit seeking more than $1 billion in damages. A source told Fox News Digital that Biden did not meet the deadline.
