Mumbai, April 15: Bringing a character to life on screen requires immense dedication from artists. Actress Meghna Malik recently shared her experience regarding her preparation for the new web series ‘Sankalp’. She revealed that the process was physically demanding. A video she posted on Instagram left fans astonished.
In the video, Meghna is seen sitting in one place for an extended period as she prepares for her role. During this time, prosthetic makeup is being applied to her face and body, a process that is time-consuming. She mentioned that this preparation required her to sit still in a chair for hours, which posed a significant challenge. The makeup not only takes time but can also be painful, making it a tough experience to endure.
In her caption, she humorously noted, “Looking at my character, it seems like she might finish in the first part and won’t appear further in the story.” She added jokingly, “When such extensive and challenging preparation is needed, it’s clear that the character won’t last long.”
Meghna explained, “In this role, I didn’t have to focus much on dialogues or emotions, as my look is portrayed in a situation where the character is not alive. However, the behind-the-scenes preparation was quite tough. Sitting quietly for long periods, repeatedly getting makeup done, and enduring the discomfort were all part of my job.”
The web series ‘Sankalp’ also features notable actors like Nana Patekar, Sanjay Kapoor, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, and Neeraj Kabi. The series is directed by Prakash Jha.
