Greater Noida, September 25 (Daily Kiran) : Early Friday morning, a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in the Dhoom Manikpur area of Greater Noida, sparking panic among local residents. The blaze ignited around 2 a.m., rapidly spreading and engulfing a large portion of the factory. The towering flames and thick smoke were visible from a distance, creating chaos in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Emergency services, including police and fire brigade teams, arrived promptly at the scene. Given the fire’s intensity, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was also called in to assist. Firefighters from various units worked tirelessly to control the inferno, while ensuring that all personnel inside the factory were evacuated safely. Fortunately, initial reports indicate that there were no injuries or fatalities.
The fire spread so quickly that several vehicles parked on the factory premises were also caught in the blaze. Due to the chemical nature of the factory’s operations, the fire intensified rapidly, prompting firefighters to exercise extreme caution as they battled the flames. There are concerns that the fire could damage materials and equipment stored within the facility.
Fire trucks continued to arrive at the scene, and over two dozen units have been engaged in firefighting efforts for nearly five hours. Firefighters are employing various strategies to douse the flames from multiple angles. Teams remain on alert for the possibility of flare-ups as they work to bring the situation under control. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
