Mumbai, 11 December. Renowned actor Manoj Bajpayee, who has carved a special place in the hearts of audiences through memorable films, expressed his interest in writing a book about his experiences during the Metamorphosis event.
The actor said he feels the need to write a book that can explain to people the process of selecting roles by working with different scripts and directors.
He stated, “I should write a book where I can share my experience about how I understand and portray characters created in different styles by various directors. Whenever I receive a script, it becomes my entire world for several months.”
Manoj Bajpayee elaborated on his preparation process, saying he reads the script day and night. He thinks about his character morning and evening, and if there is any confusion, he repeatedly reads and revisits the script.
He added, “This is how I work, and I do not share this with anyone because, in the end, the director only wants a good performance on camera. The actor’s preparation process does not matter much to them.”
Reflecting on his early struggles, the actor said, “In my time, nobody told me how to become an actor. I had to learn everything myself. Family support was limited, so I decided to make all decisions on my own and take full responsibility.”
He further mentioned, “Every new role becomes a matter of life and death for me. I observe how other actors beautifully perform that role. I have no excuses. This is the work I want to do, I love doing it, and I do it with all my heart.”
