Manisha Koirala Showcases Her Love for Art, Highlighting the Rich Culture of Nepal

Mumbai, April 20: Renowned actress Manisha Koirala, known for her remarkable performances in films like ‘Dil Se,’ ‘Mann,’ and ‘Gupt,’ remains active on screen. Her latest appearance was in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Market.’

Koirala has frequently expressed her passion for art. Recently, she visited a museum in Nepal, immersing herself in the country’s rich culture and artistic heritage.

On her Instagram, she shared moments spent with friends, emphasizing their importance in her life. Alongside these personal snapshots, she posted photos from the Nepal Museum, showcasing the coexistence of Buddhist and Hindu art. One image features a painting of Lord Shiva in his Nataraja form, while others depict elements of Buddhist culture. Some artworks include mantras written in various languages, while others portray the fierce aspect of Goddess Kali.

In her heartfelt post, Koirala wrote, “I had the opportunity to witness the work of some amazing artists and my friends at the Nepali Art Museum. My love for Thangka and Paubha, rich Newari art traditions, has deepened over time. Each artwork embodies such devotion, history, and soul. Experiencing and learning about it has truly been special.”

She noted that each piece is crafted with such love that they appear almost lifelike, offering lessons through their intricate details. Koirala also shared that her sister-in-law has been running an art academy in Nepal for several years. She remarked, “Starting such an institution from scratch is not easy for any foreign woman. Today, thanks to her dedication and hard work, this institution has earned a strong and respected name.”
