Mandsaur, April 18: In response to the soaring temperatures in Mandsaur, the district administration has revised school timings. This decision comes as a measure to protect students from the adverse effects of extreme heat.
According to an order issued by the District Education Officer, all government, private, Navodaya, central, CBSE, and ICSE schools in the district will now operate from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. This change, approved by the collector, aims to safeguard students’ health during the hottest part of the day.
The new schedule will be effective from Saturday until April 30. The administration believes that the intense afternoon sun and high temperatures could negatively impact children’s health, making this adjustment necessary.
However, the order clarifies that examinations and evaluation processes will continue as per the pre-established schedule without any changes. This ensures that academic activities remain minimally affected, allowing exams to proceed as planned.
Copies of this order have been sent to all relevant officials and institutions for information and necessary action. This includes the Commissioner of the Directorate of Public Education in Bhopal, the Collector of Mandsaur, the Chief Executive Officer, the Joint Director of Ujjain Division, Project Coordinators of the District Education Center, all Block Education Officers, cluster principals, and heads of all schools in the district.
Parents and students are hopeful that this decision will provide relief from the heat, while the administration has indicated that it will continue to take necessary measures based on evolving circumstances.
