Madhya Pradesh Board Offers Second Chance for 10th and 12th Grade Students to Improve Scores

Bhopal, April 18: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is providing students who took the 10th and 12th grade exams another opportunity to improve their results. This second examination will be conducted from May 7 to May 20.

This year, no student has been declared supplementary in the exams organized by the board. In line with the National Education Policy, the second examination is being introduced for students who were absent, failed, or wish to enhance their scores.

Students who were absent or failed in one or more subjects in the first exam will be eligible to participate in this second opportunity. Additionally, those who passed in any subject can also take the second exam to improve their scores.

The better result from either the first or second examination will be considered final. For practical subjects, students will only be eligible to retake the failed components of the practical and internal assessments.

Students will not be allowed to change subjects for the second examination. Online applications to participate in the second chance exam can be submitted through the M.P. Online portal until April 22.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in India to implement the National Education Policy-2020. The dropout rate at the primary level in the state has reached zero. The state boasts 369 well-equipped Sandipani schools and 730 PM Shri schools, which are bringing revolutionary changes to the quality of school education.

The budget for education has been set at ₹36,730 crores, an 11% increase from the previous year. This investment aims to secure the future of the next generation. The state government is covering the fees for over 850,000 economically disadvantaged children studying in private schools, ensuring that no child is left behind due to a lack of resources.
