Chasing a target of 159 runs set by Trent Rockets, Manchester Super Giants had a strong start. The opening pair of Tim Seifert and Paul Walter added 66 runs for the first wicket. Walter was dismissed for 22 runs off 14 balls. Captain Jos Buttler, batting at number three, contributed 23 runs from 14 balls, hitting 3 sixes. Heinrich Klaasen added 11 runs, while Michael Bracewell went out without scoring.
