Man Killed Over Parking Dispute in Preet Vihar; Three Arrested

New Delhi, April 21: Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man following a parking dispute in Preet Vihar. Police officials provided this information on Tuesday.

The victim, Pankaj Nair, had a heated argument with his brother Paras and Gaurav Sharma regarding parking. During the altercation, Gaurav Sharma fired a shot, hitting Pankaj Nair in the chest.

The incident occurred early Monday at approximately 2:20 AM. After the shooting, Nair was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors.

Authorities reported that an FIR has been filed against Gaurav Sharma under various sections, including murder (BNS Section 103-1), voluntarily causing hurt (Section 115(2)), and acts done with common intention (Section 3(5)), along with violations of the Arms Act under Sections 25 and 27.

Meanwhile, the Preet Vihar police have sent Pankaj’s body for post-mortem at the nearby Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital.

Given the seriousness of the case, three special teams from the East District Police have been formed. These teams include local staff from the Preet Vihar police station, special personnel, and members of the East District Anti-Snatching and Burglary Cell (ASB).

Officials stated that all teams have been tasked with locating the suspects and apprehending them as soon as possible. Extensive CCTV analysis, technical surveillance, and thorough field investigations have been conducted.

Footage from cameras around the crime scene has been meticulously examined, and local intelligence has been actively gathered.

Based on continuous technical analysis, CCTV evidence, and intelligence input, the suspects were identified. Police confirmed that acting on specific information, Gaurav Sharma (42), the shooter, was arrested along with his accomplices Sunil Sharma (41) and his stepson Siddharth.
