Major Fire Erupts at Kumar Packers Factory in Ghaziabads Tronica City Industrial Area

A significant fire at Kumar Packers in Ghaziabads Tronica City was extinguished after three hours, with no injuries reported.

Ghaziabad, November 4 (Daily Kiran) : A significant fire broke out early Wednesday morning at the Kumar Packers factory located in the Tronica City industrial area of Ghaziabad, causing widespread alarm. The blaze erupted on the first floor of the building, situated at plot number D-4 in Sector B-3, rapidly engulfing the area.

Upon receiving the emergency call at approximately 4:24 AM, the local fire station dispatched three fire engines to the scene. Given the severity of the situation, additional fire units from Vaishali, Sahibabad, and Baghpat were also called in to assist. After nearly three hours of intense firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control by 7:30 AM with the help of six fire trucks.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Fire department officials stated that the initial response involved three fire tenders from the Tronica City fire station, which is located about three kilometers from the factory. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had spread significantly on the first floor of the three-and-a-half-story building. Some factory workers attempted to extinguish the flames using existing firefighting equipment, but the intensity of the fire made it challenging to contain.

Firefighters implemented a strategic approach to combat the flames, deploying hoses to douse the fire from both sides. One line was directed up the stairs to the first floor, while another was extended from the roof of an adjacent factory. Special attention was given to prevent the fire from spreading to other floors of the building. The chief fire officer of the Ghaziabad commissionerate was informed of the situation, leading to the dispatch of additional fire engines from nearby stations.

Thanks to the relentless efforts of the firefighting teams, the fire was completely extinguished by 7:30 AM. Afterward, they carefully removed and inspected the factory’s contents to ensure no smoldering remnants remained. The fire department worked diligently to confirm that there was no risk of re-ignition and that other parts of the building were secure.

Preliminary reports indicate that the Kumar Packers factory primarily produced cardboard on the ground floor, while the first floor was dedicated to manufacturing car perfumes and related products. The fire’s impact was felt particularly on the first floor, affecting stored materials and ongoing production. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.

Throughout the firefighting and rescue operation, local police were present to coordinate efforts with the fire department, ensuring public safety. Investigations into the fire’s origins are ongoing.
