Greater Noida, July 11: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has taken significant action against illegal colonies and encroachments. A demolition campaign was launched in the Mororghari village and surrounding areas in the Aligarh district.
According to the authority, approximately 150,000 square meters of land has been freed from illegal possession and construction during this operation. The estimated market value of this land is around ₹450 crore. Officials noted that several illegal colonies, including Green Vatika, were being developed in the Mororghari area without legal approval.
These colonies included roads, plotting, and other construction activities that violated the regulations set by the Yamuna Authority. Following this, the authority initiated demolition actions as per the law. This campaign was conducted under the direction of CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh, led by Special Executive Officer (IAS) Shailendra Kumar Singh.
During the operation, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abhishek Shahi, Tehsildar Manoj Kumar Singh, project department officials from the authority, and a team from the Aligarh police administration were present on-site. A heavy police force was deployed to prevent any law and order issues.
With the help of JCB and other machinery, illegal constructions were demolished, and the seized land was cleared. The Yamuna Authority stated that it is continuously monitoring illegal plotting and the development of unauthorized colonies in the area.
There will be no leniency in such matters, and strict campaigns against illegal construction and encroachments will continue in the future. The authority has also urged citizens to verify the legal status of any plot or colony before investing. Purchasing plots in colonies developed without approval could lead to financial losses for individuals.
The authority clarified that actions against unauthorized colonies will continue as per regulations, and illegal encroachments will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
