Trump Urges Supporters to Vote Ahead of U.S. Midterm Elections
Ahead of the midterm elections, Trump rallies voters in key states, emphasizing the importance of Republican support for his agenda.

Washington, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : President Donald Trump has made a fervent appeal to his supporters as the U.S. midterm elections approach. Using telephone calls, Trump urged voters in five states to back Republican candidates, emphasizing the significance of these elections for his presidency and government agenda.
Addressing voters in Georgia, Indiana, South Carolina, Alaska, and New York, Trump criticized the Democratic Party’s policies on taxation, immigration, and gun rights. He warned that a lack of support for Republican candidates could jeopardize many of his administration’s initiatives.
In South Carolina, Trump encouraged voters to act as if he were on the ballot. “Get out and vote, and understand that I am in the race,” he stated. He claimed that his name on the ballot tends to increase voter turnout, although he did not provide any statistics to support this assertion.
In Georgia, Trump endorsed Mike Collins for Senate and urged support for gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson. He criticized Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, asserting that the victory of Republican candidates is essential for advancing his administration’s policies.
In Indiana, Trump backed Victoria Spartz from the 5th congressional district, praising her tax and border security policies. He noted that she has helped secure over $200 million for healthcare facilities in rural areas, while also targeting her Democratic opponent, J.D. Ford, on tax, immigration, and gun policies.
Turning to South Carolina again, Trump supported Senator Lindsey Graham and gubernatorial candidate Alan Wilson. He commended Wilson’s work as Attorney General, claiming that his governorship could lead to the elimination of the state income tax.
Trump also accused Democratic candidates of undermining gun rights and border security. He criticized his political opponents regarding transgender healthcare services.
In Alaska, he called for the re-election of Senator Dan Sullivan and Congressman Nick Begich, while endorsing gubernatorial candidate Bernadette Wilson. He warned voters about potential confusion due to a similarly named candidate.
Furthermore, Trump expressed his support for a ballot measure in Alaska aimed at abolishing ranked-choice voting. He credited Sullivan and Begich for advancing oil, gas, and infrastructure projects.
In New York, Trump rallied support for Mike Lawler, Mike Lipetri, and Jeanine Driscoll. He highlighted his collaboration with Lawler on federal tax deductions for state and local taxes (SALT), which he deemed crucial for New York taxpayers.
Speaking to New York voters, he urged them to “get out and vote for Mike Lawler, Mike Lipetri, and Jeanine Driscoll. They are fantastic candidates.”
In the same address, Trump defended military action against Iran, claiming it was aimed at preventing the country from acquiring nuclear weapons. He also suggested that oil prices might decrease in the future, although he did not provide independent assessments to back this claim.
Midterm elections, held two years into a president’s four-year term, involve voting for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and about one-third of Senate seats. Additionally, various state and local offices are contested. While the presidential position is not on the ballot, the outcomes can significantly influence the congressional standing of the president’s party and the legislative agenda of the government.
