Mumbai, March 6 (Daily Kiran): Mahindra’s special edition electric SUV, the Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition, has received an overwhelming response in the Indian market. Due to massive demand, the company has decided to increase its production after the limited units were sold out within just 135 seconds of launch.
Mahindra had originally introduced the Batman Edition in August last year at an ex-showroom price of ₹27.79 lakh. The special edition was launched as part of a collaboration between Mahindra and Warner Bros’ DC Comics.
Initially, only 300 units of the SUV were planned. Later, the production was increased to 999 units, but those too were quickly sold out. Now, seeing the strong demand from customers, Mahindra has decided to manufacture additional units.
Bookings for the Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition will reopen for one day on March 10, 2026, while deliveries are expected to begin from April 10, 2026.
Distinctive Batman-Inspired Design
The electric SUV comes in a satin black exterior inspired by the Batman theme. It features glossy body cladding on the wheel arches and bumper, custom Batman decals on the front doors and a ‘Dark Knight’ badge on the tailgate. The SUV also carries Batman logos on the front fender, bumper and reverse lamps.
It comes with 19-inch wheels as standard, while customers can opt for 20-inch wheels. The hub caps feature the Batman logo, complemented by an Alchemy Gold finish on the brake components and springs, creating a striking contrast.
Premium Gotham-Themed Interior
The interior continues the Gotham-inspired theme with a brushed Alchemy plate on the dashboard displaying the edition number. The instrument panel is wrapped in charcoal leather and highlighted with a brushed Alchemy Gold halo around the driver area.
The seats combine suede and leather materials with golden highlights and feature symbols inspired by the Dark Knight trilogy. Batman branding can also be seen on the steering wheel, controller, electric parking brake and key fob.
Battery, Range and Performance
The Mahindra BE6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant. It comes equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack offering an ARAI-certified range of up to 682 km on a single charge.
The electric motor mounted on the rear axle produces 286 hp of power and 380 Nm of peak torque.
