Madhya Pradesh on High Alert for Heavy Rain as CM Mohan Yadav Issues Directives to Collectors

Bhopal, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : The weather department has issued warnings of heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh in the coming days. In response, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed all collectors to remain on high alert to ensure public safety and effective management during this period.

Yadav emphasized the need for proactive measures in preparation for the anticipated weather conditions. He instructed district administrations to gather essential resources and be ready for immediate deployment. With forecasts predicting significant rain on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, particularly in northern Madhya Pradesh, the chief minister stressed the importance of vigilance among local authorities.

In light of recent rainfall that has already caused difficulties for many residents, Yadav has called for the availability of relief and rescue resources to address any emerging situations promptly. The state has been experiencing ongoing rain, leading to swollen rivers and disrupted daily life.

To assess the impact, Yadav visited affected areas in Satna district, where social organizations are actively assisting families in need. The Madhurima Seva Sanskar Foundation, for instance, has been distributing food supplies in several villages and has established shelters to provide meals. Dr. Swapna Verma, the organization’s leader, stated that helping those in distress is a moral duty, likening it to a form of worship.

Under Yadav’s directives, local administrations are working diligently to support those affected. It is crucial for everyone to contribute within their capacity during times of crisis. Recently, many settlements in Chitrakoot, Satna district, were inundated, necessitating helicopter rescues. Access routes to these villages remain in poor condition, and repairs to damaged homes have yet to be completed.
