Vice President JD Vance Urges Ohio Voters to Support Vivek Ramaswamy in Governor Race

JD Vance appeals to Ohio voters to back Vivek Ramaswamy, emphasizing property tax and job creation as key issues ahead of the election.

Washington, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : American Vice President JD Vance has called on voters in Ohio to support Indian-American businessman Vivek Ramaswamy in his bid for governor. Speaking at a campaign rally in Cincinnati, Vance highlighted critical issues such as property tax, homeownership, and job creation in the manufacturing sector.

As the November 3 election approaches, Vance emphasized Ramaswamy’s business experience and his proposals aimed at assisting young families, which he believes will resonate with voters. He pointed out that Ramaswamy has committed to lowering property taxes in Ohio, stating, “We pay too much in taxes.”

Vance stressed the need for Ohio to create opportunities for its workforce and families, asserting that Ramaswamy has innovative ideas to bring good jobs back to the state. However, Vance’s comments were more focused on campaign priorities rather than a detailed policy program. He did not provide specifics on how property tax reductions would be financed or how families could be assisted in buying homes.

The Vice President praised Ramaswamy’s work in the business sector, suggesting that his willingness to challenge corporate practices demonstrates the type of decision-making voters can expect from him in public office.

Vance also criticized Democratic candidate Amy Acton, attacking her management of pandemic-related restrictions. He accused Acton of prioritizing authority over the consequences of closing schools and businesses. Acton has not yet responded to Vance’s remarks.

Additionally, Vance referenced a campaign advertisement by Ramaswamy that targeted Acton, urging voters to focus on candidates’ records and proposals rather than just advertisements.

In his address, Vance also encouraged support for Republican Senator John Husted and congressional candidate Eric Conroy, citing shared priorities including lower taxes, immigration laws, public safety, and manufacturing.
