Bhopal, February 17: The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has initiated a ‘Talent Search’ program aimed at selecting spokespersons who will represent the party’s ideologies at district, division, state, and national levels.
This initiative was formally announced by state Congress president Jitu Patwari during a press conference at the party headquarters in Bhopal. He emphasized the need for ideologically committed and research-oriented allies who can effectively communicate the Congress ideology to the public in the evolving political landscape.
Patwari explained that interviews will be conducted at the division level based on the applications received. These interviews will involve coordinators appointed by the AICC, members of the Talent Search Committee, senior Congress leaders, and the respective district presidents, who will jointly evaluate the participants.
He stated that Congress is not merely a political party but a movement of ideas. This Talent Search program marks the beginning of a change where opportunities will be awarded based on merit rather than recommendations.
Opposition leader Umang Singhar, who was present at the press conference, remarked that this initiative is a significant step towards ideological strength and fact-based opposition in the state’s politics.
Singhar further noted that Congress is providing a platform for youth who engage in reading, research, and become the voice of the public based on facts. This program aims to strengthen democratic values and ensure a fact-based review of government claims.
Mukesh Nayak, the state Congress media in-charge and former minister, later informed that the Talent Search process will be a limited and merit-based selection procedure. He mentioned that application forms have been released starting Monday, with the final date for submission set for February 28.
Only 20 state spokespersons will be selected, along with multiple media panelists, two authorized spokespersons at the division and district levels, two national panelists, and one dedicated English media panelist.
