Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister to Launch 34th Installment of Ladli Behna Scheme

Gwalior, March 12: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer the 34th installment of the Ladli Behna Scheme in Gwalior on Friday.

During the ‘Ladli Behna Conference’ at the Shabari Mata Temple, the Chief Minister will directly deposit funds into the bank accounts of over 1.25 crore beneficiaries. He will also engage with some beneficiaries to understand how they utilize the monthly assistance of ₹1,500 provided under the scheme.

Launched in June 2023, this initiative has emerged as a foundation for economic confidence and social respect for women in the state. A total of 33 installments have already been regularly transferred from June 2023 to February 2026.

According to the state government, ₹54,140 crore has been deposited directly into the bank accounts of beneficiary women so far. The government announced on Thursday, “We are planning to connect women associated with this scheme to skill development, employment, and self-employment opportunities, enabling them to become self-reliant and play a crucial role in the progress of their families and society.”

Notably, the Ladli Behna Scheme initially started with a monthly installment of ₹1,000, which was later increased to ₹1,250 and then to ₹1,500. The BJP government has announced plans to raise this amount to ₹3,000 per month by 2028.

Additionally, the Chief Minister will also perform the ground-breaking and inauguration of 54 development projects in Gwalior district, estimated to cost around ₹122 crore. Among the projects being inaugurated are the Sandeepani School building in Kulaith, constructed at a cost of approximately ₹40 crore, and a high-level bridge over the Sank River on the Dada Khirk-Tighra Road, built at a cost of ₹9.11 crore.

Other initiatives include a sub-health center in Banheri and newly constructed roads in both urban and rural areas of Gwalior district.
