Mumbai, August 23: In Bollywood, some faces stand out with their unique identity, while others remind fans of famous stars. Actress Nikki Walia has often been compared to the iconic “Dhak Dhak Girl,” Madhuri Dixit. For nearly 30 years, wherever Nikki goes, someone inevitably mentions her resemblance to Madhuri.
The most intriguing part of this story is that Madhuri herself once acknowledged the similarity. During a flight, the two actresses playfully compared their facial features, trying to figure out what made them look alike.
In an exclusive interview, Nikki recalled this amusing incident. “I’ve been working in the industry for about 30 years, and it’s rare for a day to pass without someone mentioning my resemblance to Madhuri Dixit. While this comparison is no longer new to me, it became a special moment when Madhuri said it herself,” she shared.
Nikki explained, “Once, Madhuri and I were on the same flight, sitting in business class, both heading to receive awards for our respective films. Madhuri was awarded for ‘Dil To Pagal Hai,’ while I was to be honored for ‘Baat Ban Jaye.’ During the flight, we began discussing our facial features.”
She continued, “We started examining each other’s faces like children. Madhuri looked at my eyes, my lips, and we compared our smiles. We wanted to understand why people saw such a similarity between us. The entire experience was quite enjoyable for me.”
After closely observing each other, they noticed that their laughter was the most similar aspect. Other facial features, including their eyes and lips, did not show significant resemblance.
Recalling the conversation, Nikki said, “Madhuri herself told me that I look like her. I still remember sitting together and examining our facial features. It was an incredible experience for me.”
