Lt Gen Arvind Chauhan Reviews Brigade Readiness at Nasirabad, Emphasises Tech-Driven Army

Ajmer: Lieutenant General Arvind Chauhan visited Nasirabad Military Station on Sunday to assess the preparedness of the logistics units stationed there. During the visit, he highlighted the importance of drone technology, training systems, and the welfare of soldiers. He urged officers and troops to stay ready for future challenges and to swiftly adopt modern technology.

The Southern Command of the Indian Army shared on its official X account that Lt Gen Arvind Chauhan, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding Sudarshan Chakra Corps, conducted an inspection of the ‘best brigade’ preparing to be part of the First to Strike Brigade.

Besides this, Lt Gen Chauhan inspected key logistics units, where he was briefed on operational responsibilities, specific training aspects, infrastructure enhancements, and welfare plans for the soldiers. Following the inspection, he chaired a Capability Development Conference attended by all formation commanders of the Sudarshan Chakra Corps.

At the conference, he emphasised the critical role of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) like drones and their counter-UAS systems. He stressed the need to strengthen repair and regeneration mechanisms to ensure optimal utilisation of technology. He also called for the development of improved training facilities.

Lt Gen Chauhan further pointed out the necessity of combined arms integration among various weapons and units to enhance operational effectiveness. Highlighting the evolving nature of warfare, he stated that boosting operational effectiveness is essential. Soldiers were advised to remain prepared for future challenges and adapt to all kinds of new situations.

During the visit, the General Officer Commanding also discussed the morale, training, and welfare of the troops. He remarked that the strength of the army and mission success depends on new technology and better training. Commanders were directed to implement new technologies and modern strategies in their respective areas.
