Ulaanbaatar, April 2: Indian boxing star Aditya delivered an impressive performance on the fourth day of the Asian Boxing Championship, defeating Saudi Arabia’s Mousa Al-Hawsawi with a unanimous 5-0 decision.

The current national champion showcased complete control during the match, employing excellent technique against his opponent. With this victory, Aditya advances to the next round, where he will face Uzbekistan’s Abdullah Madaminov.

The 2026 Asian Boxing Championship features top boxing talents from across the continent, with each bout playing a crucial role in determining the path to the medal rounds.

On the first day, India’s Preeti Pawar and Deepak made a strong start. In the women’s 54 kg category, Preeti, a gold medalist at the World Boxing Cup Finals, defeated Kazakhstan’s Elina Bazarova, a former Asian Under-22 champion (2025), with a decisive 5-0 score.

In the men’s 70 kg category, Deepak, who won a silver medal at the Boxam Elite International 2026 and a bronze at the Asian Youth Boxing Championship 2022, confidently beat Uzbekistan’s Khwazbek Asadullayev 3-2.

On the second day, India’s Priya secured a stunning 5-0 victory, while Jadumani Singh put up a tough fight against the top seed. In the women’s 60 kg category, Priya delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Kazakhstan’s Rimma Volosenko 5-0.

In the men’s 55 kg category, Jadumani faced a challenging match against Japan’s Rui Yamaguchi but ultimately lost 2-3.

India’s dominance continued on the third day, with Vishwa Nath Suresh and Sachin both securing wins to advance in their respective weight classes.

In the men’s 50 kg division, Vishwa Nath Suresh displayed remarkable technical skill and awareness, defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Bekzat Ergeshov with a commanding 5-0 victory.

Sachin, competing in the men’s 60 kg category, also impressed with a calm performance against Mongolia’s Buyandalai Bayarkhu. In a closely contested match, Sachin maintained his composure under pressure and effectively executed his strategy, winning by a split decision of 4-1.
