Buenos Aires, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Lionel Messi has officially retired from international football, marking the end of an era for Argentina. He played his final match for the national team against Benin at Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires. The game showcased Messi’s enduring talent as he scored one goal and provided two assists.

Emotions ran high as Messi took to the field for the last time in the iconic blue and white jersey. A large crowd gathered to witness the historic moment, filling the stadium to capacity. Before the match, Messi was honored by the president of River Plate, receiving honorary club membership, a commemorative plaque, and a special jersey.
