New Delhi, August 16: On the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, several leaders, including Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, paid their respects.
In a post on the social media platform X, Lieutenant Governor Sinha wrote, “I pay my humble tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. As a visionary politician, reformer, and renowned poet, Atal Ji dedicated his life to the service of the nation. His ideals, wisdom, and vision for a strong and self-reliant India will always inspire us.”
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari also shared a post on X, stating, “I pay my humble tribute to the great politician, visionary leader, and former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary. A giant of Indian politics, a heartfelt poet, and an excellent orator; his lifelong service, dedication, and political acumen laid the foundation for a strong and self-reliant India. His profound ideals and inspiring legacy continue to guide us today.”
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote in a social media post, “Respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an example of compassion, strong belief, and the rare blend of a politician. From strengthening India’s strategic intentions to laying the groundwork for modern infrastructure and inclusive development, his legacy has shaped our nation’s journey. On his death anniversary, I pay my humble tribute to this great son of Mother India.”
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed, “I pay my humble tribute to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji on his death anniversary. Respected Atal Ji was a pioneer of good governance, sensitivity, and visionary leadership. Through the Ken-Betwa Link and river linking projects in Madhya Pradesh, we are realizing his dream of ensuring that the benefits of water, development, and prosperity reach the last person in society.”
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant posted, “On the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, I pay my heartfelt tribute to a visionary politician and one of India’s most respected leaders. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai wrote in a social media post, “On the death anniversary of the creator of Chhattisgarh, a towering figure in Indian politics, former Prime Minister, and Bharat Ratna Respected Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, I bow in reverence.
