Labor Unrest Erupts in Noida as Factories Reopen Amid Tight Security

Noida, April 15: Labor unrest has resurfaced in Noida as industrial activities resume. Tensions are rising in the district, particularly in Sector 63, where workers protested vigorously outside a company. A heavy police presence has been deployed to manage the situation.

Authorities were already on high alert for potential protests and unrest. In response, the Gautam Buddha Nagar district has been divided into 36 sectors to ensure effective monitoring. Comprehensive security measures have been implemented to maintain law and order, including the deployment of additional police forces from 12 different districts.

The number of industrial units in the district’s 12 police station jurisdictions is significant. To address these sensitive areas, approximately 50 police officers have been assigned to each police station. Police officials state that they are fully prepared to handle any situation and are continuously monitoring the circumstances. In light of recent events, law enforcement has adopted a strict stance, with seven new cases filed against over 1,800 unidentified individuals.

Authorities have indicated that they will identify those responsible for inciting unrest and take stringent action against them. Additionally, social media is being monitored to prevent the spread of rumors. Administrators and police officials have urged workers to maintain peace and assured them that their issues will be addressed through dialogue. Efforts to normalize operations in industrial areas are ongoing.

Currently, the situation in Noida is tense but under control. The administration remains on high alert and is taking all possible measures to address any unpleasant incidents.
