Thiruvananthapuram, March 17: Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has launched a verbal attack on the Congress party following the results of the Rajya Sabha elections.
The Chief Minister stated, “The results of the Rajya Sabha elections have once again confirmed that the Congress party is the B team of the RSS. By rallying against the BJP, Congress has consistently engaged in politics that allows the BJP to secure crucial victories.”
Vijayan further elaborated, “Cross-voting in Odisha facilitated the victory of the BJP-backed candidate. A party that claims to oppose the BJP has created favorable conditions for them behind the scenes. The situation in Bihar exemplifies this political hypocrisy. During the confirmation of the Mahagathbandhan’s victory, three Congress MLAs abstained from voting, which created advantageous circumstances for the BJP-led NDA. Once again, Congress’s ‘assistance’ has proven significant in strengthening the BJP’s position in the Rajya Sabha.”
He added, “This is not an isolated incident. Through resignations, cross-voting, and political deceit, Congress has enabled the BJP to gain additional Rajya Sabha seats in various states. We witnessed how, in 2024, the BJP won the only vacant Rajya Sabha seat in Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh. This time, the Congress secured the lone vacant seat with BJP’s support, as they did not field a candidate.”
The Chief Minister concluded, “The reality of Congress’s politics is ‘anti-BJP in slogans, pro-BJP in actions.’ Congress, which shamelessly supports the BJP while claiming to be the leader of secular politics, mocks Indian democracy. This raises the question: who is the B team of the BJP? If not Congress, then who?”
