Karnataka BJP Celebrates Pandit Deendayal Upadhyayas Birth Anniversary, Highlights Modi Government Initiatives

The Karnataka BJP commemorated Pandit Deendayal Upadhyayas birth anniversary, emphasizing government initiatives aimed at benefiting the underprivileged.

Bengaluru, September 25 (Daily Kiran) : The Karnataka BJP celebrated the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on Friday at the party’s state headquarters, Jagannath Bhavan, in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. Party MLC Keshav Prasad spoke about Upadhyaya’s impactful ideas, which he believes guide society towards the right path. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for working to fulfill Upadhyaya’s vision of reaching the last person in society with benefits.

Prasad remarked, “Today marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, whose work and thoughts continue to set an example. Reading his ideas helps us correct our course.” He emphasized that Upadhyaya advocated for providing facilities and assistance to those at the lowest socio-economic levels. Prasad claimed that the Modi government has attempted to implement this vision through initiatives such as providing LPG connections to poor families, constructing toilets in their homes, and opening 580 million Jan Dhan bank accounts.

He further noted that 810 million people across the country are receiving rations, asserting that, with the central government’s assistance, 250 million individuals have risen above the poverty line. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the BJP government is advancing the principles laid out by Upadhyaya.

Recalling Upadhyaya’s early life, Prasad mentioned that he was born in Uttar Pradesh in 1916 and faced numerous hardships, including the loss of both parents at a young age, which profoundly impacted his life. Upadhyaya excelled academically and received a gold medal before coming into contact with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Later, he met RSS founder K.B. Hedgewar and other senior leaders.

After meeting Hedgewar, Upadhyaya decided to dedicate his life to serving the nation. The event was attended by Karnataka BJP Vice President Harathalu Halappa, former MLA M.D. Lakshminarayan, Bengaluru North District President S. Harish, State Office Secretary Lokesh Ambekallu, Joint Secretary Vishwanath Anaji, party leaders, and office staff.
