JD Vance Supports Trumps Military Action Against Iran

Washington, March 17: U.S. Vice President JD Vance defended the government’s military action against Iran, expressing confidence in President Donald Trump’s ability to manage the conflict and avoid past mistakes.

Vance addressed concerns about foreign interference in America’s military operations, stating, “I know what you’re trying to do; you’re trying to create a rift between government members, the president, and me.”

He clarified that there are no disagreements regarding policy. Vance emphasized, “The president has consistently stated since 2015 that Iran should not possess nuclear weapons. We have undertaken this military action under the president’s leadership.”

He insisted that the focus should be on the operation’s outcomes, not on political differences. “I believe we should all, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, pray for success and the safety of our troops,” he added.

When asked if his previous views on “foreign adventures” caused hesitation, Vance dismissed the suggestion. He stated, “I trust President Trump to get the job done, to do good for the American people, and to ensure that past mistakes are not repeated.”

Vance compared the current administration to previous ones, labeling Trump as a ‘smart’ president. He implied that such praise could not be extended to the former president without naming Joe Biden.

Trump reiterated his stance, emphasizing that while he prefers to avoid war, decisive action was necessary. He stated, “I want war less than almost any other person. Strength through peace.”

He warned that allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons could pose a direct threat due to their leadership. Trump remarked, “If they had nuclear weapons, they would use them.”

Trump praised Vance’s understanding of the situation, saying, “I think JD understands better than most that if you give Iran nuclear weapons, at least a large part of the world will be blown up, and it will be used almost immediately.”

This discussion comes amid rising questions about the scope and duration of the conflict. Vance did not delve into operational details but asserted that the action was necessary under the president’s guidance.

On Monday, Vance highlighted that this action was focused and essential to address a specific threat. The government has centered its Iran policy around a singular goal: preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Trump has repeatedly warned of severe consequences if this occurs.

Vance’s remarks signal an effort for unity. The White House aims to maintain a clear, consistent stance. However, debates about the use of force and its long-term implications continue within U.S. political circles.
