Chennai, May 19: Malayalam actor Jayasurya is set to captivate audiences with his new pan-India project, ‘Operation Tral.’ The shooting for the film has officially commenced under the direction of Ratish Vega. A traditional prayer ceremony was held to seek divine blessings, attended by the entire film team.

The film promises an emotional narrative filled with action, patriotism, intelligence missions, and the sacrifices of soldiers. Sources close to the project reveal that ‘Operation Tral’ is based on a true incident, focusing on a significant encounter between Indian security forces and terrorists in the Tral region of Jammu and Kashmir. While the film will not replicate real events entirely, its backdrop will be rooted in national security and intelligence operations.

The team kicked off the shooting in Kochi with a traditional prayer ceremony, where producer Joby George Thadathil, director Ratish Vega, and actor Jayasurya, along with other cast members, sought blessings from the divine. Several prominent figures from the film industry also attended the event.

Jayasurya will play the lead role, having previously garnered acclaim for his portrayal of serious and challenging characters. This time, he will embody a character central to a story of patriotism and action. Ratish Vega is responsible for both the story and direction of the film.

The cast also includes Ritika Singh, Amaya Dustoor, Anson Paul, Nandlal Krishnamurthy, Sirajuddin, Vinay Rai, Siddique, Saikumar, and Murali Sharma in significant roles.

The film will be shot in various stunning locations across India, including Kerala, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Kullu, Manali, Mussoorie, and Ladakh. Joby George Thadathil is producing the film under his banner, Gujvil Entertainments.
