Jason Derulo to Make His Debut at Sunburn Festival as Fourth Headliner

Mumbai, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : American pop sensation Jason Derulo is set to make his debut at the Sunburn Festival in Mumbai this December. He has been announced as the fourth headliner for this year’s highly anticipated music festival.

Performing at the iconic Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Derulo is expected to captivate the audience with his chart-topping hits and electrifying stage presence. His addition to the lineup follows the earlier announcements of headliners The Chainsmokers, Sebastian Ingrosso, and DJ Snake, bringing a vibrant pop music element to the festival.

Expressing his excitement, Derulo shared, “India has always shown me immense love. I am thrilled to bring my full show to Mumbai this December. Sunburn is known for its incredible energy, and I can’t wait to perform with that same energy.”

Globally recognized for his catchy tunes and unique style, Derulo’s popular tracks include “Jalebi Baby,” “Talk Dirty,” “Swalla,” “Wiggle,” “Whatcha Say,” and “Want to Want Me.” His songs have garnered billions of streams worldwide.

Karan Singh, CEO of Sunburn, also expressed his enthusiasm about Derulo’s participation. He stated, “Jason Derulo is among the global artists consistently delivering hit songs. Bringing him to the Sunburn Festival for the first time is a significant opportunity for us. His inclusion alongside The Chainsmokers, Sebastian Ingrosso, and DJ Snake reflects Sunburn’s growing reach and our vision.”

Singh further emphasized that while Sunburn has traditionally been associated with electronic music, the landscape of live entertainment has expanded significantly. The festival now aims to showcase various music styles and artists to its audience.

Notably, in recent years, Sunburn has included genres beyond electronic music. In 2025, Indian singer Arijit Singh shared the stage with Martin Garrix, while artists like Francis Mercier, influenced by African and global music styles, have also been part of the lineup.

Until now, no artist outside the electronic music genre had headlined the Sunburn Festival, making Derulo’s participation a significant shift in the festival’s approach.
