ITBP Recruitment 2026: Applications Open for Assistant Commandant Positions, Deadline May 20

New Delhi, April 21: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has officially announced the recruitment of six Assistant Commandant (Engineer) positions under the General Central Service Group ‘A’. This includes four vacancies for the Unreserved category, one for OBC, and one for ST.

The online application process has commenced, with the last date for submission set for May 20. Interested and eligible candidates can fill out the application form on the official website until the specified deadline.

Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution. The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 30 years, calculated as of May 20. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a series of assessments, including Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), biometric identification, a written examination, document verification, personality interview, merit list, Detailed Medical Examination (DME), and Review Medical Examination (RME). Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹400 for UR/OBC/EWS categories. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ex-servicemen/women candidates are exempt from the registration fee.

To apply online, candidates should first visit the official ITBP website. After reaching the homepage, click on the active application link for the relevant position. Then, register and log in. Fill in all required information in the form and upload the necessary documents in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, submit the form. Finally, ensure to keep a copy of the application form for future reference.
