New Delhi, March 8: Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited northern Israel on Sunday to boost the morale of local residents and soldiers. He emphasized that Israel would respond with full force to those challenging its security and expressed solidarity with the people in the northern regions.
During his visit, President Herzog addressed the ongoing attacks from the Iranian regime and the Hezbollah terrorist organization based in Lebanon. He began his tour at the Mateh Asher Regional Council, where he received updates from Council Head Moshe Davidovich.
Next, the president visited the Galilee Medical Center, where he met with IDF soldiers injured in a recent incident near the Lebanese border. He concluded his northern tour in the city of Nahariya, where he visited the Municipal Operations Center and met with Mayor Ronen Marley.
President Herzog stated, “I am here today to strengthen and uplift the people of the North. I am with the wonderful Mayor Ronen Marley in Nahariya. I also visited Mateh Asher and Galilee Hospital, where there is immense courage. These are people with significant civic strength, enabling us to conduct this campaign and strike at the head of the evil empire seated in Tehran, while also pushing Hezbollah back from Lebanon.”
He acknowledged the challenging times, praising the municipality’s effective operations. He urged residents to remain vigilant, as sirens continue to sound in the area. “We want the people of the North to know that we stand with you with all our strength. You have been on the front line in recent days. We know Hezbollah is attempting to attack, and anyone who dares to threaten our security will face a powerful response,” he added.
The president also expressed his deep condolences to the family of Master Sergeant Maher Khater, stating that his memory will always remain. He extended his sympathies to grieving families and wished for the complete recovery of the injured.
“We will complete our mission and bring good days for all the people of Israel. People of Israel, stay strong,” he concluded.
