New Delhi, May 10: Caroline Levitt, the White House Press Secretary, recently welcomed her second child, a daughter named Viviana, affectionately called Vivi. She received numerous congratulatory messages on her announcement. However, on Mother’s Day, various Iranian embassies targeted Levitt’s post with a stark reminder, stating, “Your hands are stained with the blood of innocent children.”
In Indonesia, the Iranian embassy reshared Levitt’s post, commenting, “Every child deserves a mother’s embrace. Sadly, many mothers still do not have the chance to hold their children. This is a tragic reality that the world must never overlook.”
The Iranian embassy in Hyderabad referenced the attack on the Minab School in their response to Levitt’s announcement, saying, “Congratulations! As Iranians say, a daughter is a gift from God to her parents. I want to remind you that your military has targeted the Minab School twice, resulting in the deaths of 168 students. A grieving mother states that only one shoe of her son remains. It is tragic that no traces of his body were found.”
In South Africa, the Iranian embassy remarked, “When your daughter grows up and studies history, she will feel ashamed that you served one of the most hated governments in history. Your hands are stained with the blood of many innocent children, just like those from Minab.”
The Iranian embassy in Armenia also extended their congratulations, stating, “Children are innocent and precious. The 168 children killed in the Minab School by your boss, whom you justified, were also children. When you kiss your child, think of the mothers of those children.”
This response comes in light of a recent attack on Iran by the United States and Israel on February 28. According to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB and local media, an Iranian elementary school in Minab was targeted during this assault. The United Nations reported that at least 175 people were killed in the attack, most of whom were children aged between 7 and 12 years.
In her post, Caroline Levitt expressed her joy, stating, “On May 1, Viviana, also known as Vivi, joined our family, and our hearts were instantly filled with love. She is doing well, and her older brother is happily adjusting to life with his new little sister. We are cherishing every moment in our joyful newborn bubble. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me during my pregnancy; I truly felt their support throughout the experience. Blessed by God.”
