New Delhi, April 19: The 27th match of IPL 2026 took place on Saturday evening at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, featuring Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). SRH clinched a victory by 10 runs, securing a place in the top four of the points table, while CSK benefited from the outcome despite the loss.

Following the SRH-CSK match, there were notable changes in the points table, along with the rankings for the Orange and Purple Caps.

Punjab Kings currently lead the table with 9 points from 5 matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) follows in second place with 8 points from 6 matches, while Rajasthan Royals also have 8 points but from 5 matches, placing them third. Sunrisers Hyderabad sits fourth with 6 points from 6 matches, and Delhi Capitals rounds out the top five with 6 points from 5 matches.

Gujarat Titans are in sixth place with 6 points from 5 matches, while Chennai Super Kings are seventh with 4 points from 6 matches. Lucknow Super Giants hold the eighth spot with 4 points from 5 matches. Mumbai Indians are ninth with just 2 points from 5 matches, and Kolkata Knight Riders are at the bottom in tenth place with only 1 point from 6 matches.

The differences in team rankings, despite equal points, are attributed to their net run rates.

After the SRH-CSK match, the Orange Cap has shifted to Heinrich Klaasen, who scored 59 runs off 39 balls. Klaasen has amassed a total of 283 runs in 6 innings across 6 matches. The Purple Cap now belongs to CSK’s fast bowler Anshul Kamboj, who has taken 13 wickets in 6 matches, including 3 wickets in the match against SRH.
