
Jaipur, June 20: Ahead of International Yoga Day, various yoga programs were organized across Rajasthan on Saturday. In Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma practiced yoga at his residence with the Kalika Patrolling Unit of the Rajasthan Police and trainees from the Rajasthan Police Academy. He emphasized the importance of yoga for physical strength, mental peace, and a balanced life, urging citizens to participate in the Yoga Day events happening throughout the state.
In a post on ‘X’, CM Sharma stated, “Today, I practiced yoga at the Chief Minister’s residence with the Kalika Patrolling Unit and trainee sisters from the Rajasthan Police Academy. Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continuous efforts, yoga has transformed into a global movement. This invaluable cultural heritage of India conveys messages of health, balance, and human welfare worldwide.”
He further encouraged the people of the state to actively participate in yoga programs on June 21 and to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. “Regular yoga not only provides a healthy body and a calm mind but also lays the foundation for a positive, energetic, and balanced life. Let us embrace yoga to ensure a healthy, empowered, and developed Rajasthan,” he added.
Meanwhile, a yoga session was organized in Jodhpur under the leadership of Rajendra Gehlot, a Member of Parliament. Hundreds of people practiced yoga at the Gaushala Ground in Jodhpur, raising awareness ahead of the main event on June 21. Participants included public representatives, officials, police personnel, and common citizens engaging in various yoga activities.
Rajendra Gehlot remarked, “The Marudhara Sports Institute has organized a grand yoga program today, as they do every year, ahead of International Yoga Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought yoga to an international level and familiarized the world with it. Today, yoga is being embraced worldwide with great enthusiasm and dedication.”
He added, “Yoga is also crucial for world peace. It allows us to enjoy a disciplined, healthy life. Our Prime Minister believes that if the citizens of India are healthy, the country will be healthy. Yoga is essential for global peace and welfare.”
