International Yoga Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm from Mumbai to Patna

New Delhi, June 21: The 12th International Yoga Day 2026 was celebrated across various parts of the country with numerous yoga programs. In both Mumbai and Patna, people actively participated, spreading awareness about the significance of yoga.

In Mumbai, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel, remarked that practicing yoga amidst the city’s rain brings a unique joy. She emphasized that yoga should not be confined to just one day but should be integrated into daily life throughout the year. According to her, regular yoga is the key to a healthy and balanced life.

Central Minister of State, Rakesh Khadse, extended his wishes to all citizens on International Yoga Day. He noted that, as in previous years, this year’s celebration on June 21 was marked with great enthusiasm. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspired the nation by participating in the Yoga Day event in West Bengal.

Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, shared her thoughts on the importance of Yoga Day. She stated that while government institutions, social organizations, and various groups celebrate Yoga Day on June 21, it is crucial to reach those who understand its significance and incorporate it into their daily lives. She particularly highlighted the need to promote yoga among the children of farmers who have committed suicide, emphasizing its necessity for their well-being.

Meanwhile, in Patna, a yoga and meditation session was organized at the state office of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Several leaders, including MP Shambhavi Chaudhary, Minister Sanjay Singh, and Raju Tiwari, participated in the event. The program conveyed the message of adopting a healthy, stress-free, and balanced lifestyle.
