New Delhi, March 27: The International Film Festival, which commenced on March 25 in New Delhi, has become a star-studded event. The festival is showcasing numerous special film screenings and will continue until March 31. Notable attendees include actor Adil Hussain, writer-director Jitin K. Jos, actor Jishnu Shreekumar, and actress Girija Oak Godbole.
Actor Adil Hussain expressed pride in being part of the festival. He stated, “We are all very happy because the film festival has finally begun in New Delhi. This is not just a film festival; it is an ecosystem of filmmaking that introduces us to various aspects of cinema. We hope people from not only India but also different countries will join us.”
Actress Girija Oak Godbole shared her thoughts with the media, saying that the festival’s launch in New Delhi could provide new direction for cinema. Previously, film festivals were held in Delhi or Goa, but now the capital’s organization could set new benchmarks.
CV Rao, CTO of Annapurna Studios, also attended the festival. He discussed the growing demand for AI in films, stating, “We are using AI not throughout the entire film but in VFX, making shorts more realistic. Sometimes, it is not feasible to shoot at certain locations, and in such cases, we are creating excellent shots with VFX and AI.”
He further emphasized the importance of a strong script before making a film, noting that a great script is essential for producing a good movie.
South Indian actor Jishnu Shreekumar and writer-director Jitin K. Jos expressed their happiness at participating in the festival. They mentioned that while they have been part of many film festivals before, the inaugural International Film Festival in New Delhi could be beneficial for cinema. They remarked, “It is great to see various films being screened here, and it is encouraging to witness a new platform for those involved in cinema.”
