Berlin, April 22: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met with members of the Indian community in Berlin, Germany, in a warm and engaging atmosphere. Earlier, Rajnath Singh addressed members of the German Parliament, calling for a stronger defense industrial partnership between India and Germany. He invited German industries to engage in co-production, co-development, and co-innovation in India under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative. Singh is on a three-day visit to Germany. On the first day of his trip, he spoke to the Defense and Security Committee of the German Parliament.

The Defense Minister noted that the world is facing new types of security threats, and technological changes have complicated the situation further. Adapting to changing environments and embracing new thinking is essential in today’s context. He reiterated that the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative is not just a procurement program but an open invitation for co-production, co-development, and co-innovation.

He stressed that coordinated responses, reliable strategic partnerships, and the willingness to adapt to changing circumstances are crucial today. Referring to the current situation in West Asia, Rajnath Singh stated that India’s proactive and coordinated strategy demonstrates the country’s capability to address global crises with peace, foresight, and effective institutional coordination.
