India Will Operate Under the Constitution, No Tolerance for Anarchy: RP Singh

BJP spokesperson RP Singh condemns attempts to create chaos in India, emphasizing adherence to the Constitution.

New Delhi, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : BJP spokesperson RP Singh recently addressed various pressing issues, including the appeal by CJP leader Abhijit Dipke to surrender with the national flag. He criticized the opposition, accusing them of attempting to incite chaos in the country. Singh asserted that India will follow the Constitution drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar, not the whims of anarchists.

In response to Dipke’s appeal, Singh claimed that efforts to mislead the youth have failed, as they have not rallied behind such calls. He expressed concern that attempts are being made to spread disorder under the guise of the national flag, especially after failing to garner expected support from the public.

Commenting on the warning from the U.S. ambassador regarding a potential 100% tariff on India and China, Singh supported Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s remarks. He stated that the first round of discussions between India and the U.S. has concluded, and a draft for further negotiations is being prepared. Singh challenged opposition claims that India has capitulated to American demands, noting that the draft is still in progress despite some leaders suggesting that an agreement has already been reached.

Regarding Prashant Bhushan’s comments about political change, Singh emphasized that the constitutional method for such changes is through elections. He dismissed notions of resolving issues through protests or violence, pointing out that Bhushan, previously with the Aam Aadmi Party, had the opportunity to contest elections.

Singh further criticized the portrayal of a few individuals’ actions as representative of the entire nation, asserting that India is a country of 1.4 billion people. He accused the opposition of attempting to create an atmosphere of disorder.

In light of calls from CJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders for the armed forces and police to take to the streets against the government, Singh demanded clarity from the opposition on whether they wish to pit these institutions against the country. He expressed hope that the police would take note of such statements and act accordingly.

On the matter involving Rahul Gandhi in the Supreme Court, Singh accused him of trying to exert influence over constitutional institutions. He reiterated that these institutions will operate according to established laws and regulations.

Addressing allegations of vote rigging, Singh stated that anyone suspecting irregularities should present evidence in court. He noted that Gandhi had claimed to possess evidence and should have submitted it to the judiciary. The Supreme Court has since issued a notice to the Election Commission to clarify the situation.
