New Delhi, October 14 (Daily Kiran): India wrapped up the two-match Test series against West Indies with a comprehensive 7-wicket victory in the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, clinching the series 2-0. Opener KL Rahul guided the chase with a steady unbeaten 58-run knock, ensuring India’s dominance in the home series.

India, who had won the first Test in Ahmedabad by an innings and 140 runs, continued their impressive form in Delhi.
On the final day, India needed 58 runs to secure victory. Rahul and Sai Sudharsan gave a cautious start before Sudharsan (39) was caught brilliantly by Shai Hope off Roston Chase at the team total of 88. Captain Shubman Gill then tried to accelerate the scoring, but fell to Chase for 13 runs when India was just 13 runs away from the target.
Rahul, showing composure and patience, completed his half-century and sealed the win with a boundary. Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 6 as India reached 124/3 to complete the chase.
For West Indies, Roston Chase claimed 2 wickets while Jomel Warrican took 1.
Earlier, on Day 4, India were 63/1 at stumps while chasing 121 runs, with Rahul (25*) and Sudharsan (30*) steady at the crease. Warrican had dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal for 7.
In the first innings, India had declared at 518/5, while West Indies managed 248 in response. Forced to follow on, the visitors showed strong resistance in the second innings, posting 390 runs thanks to centuries from John Campbell (115) and Shai Hope (103). The last-wicket partnership between Graves (50)* and Seales frustrated the Indian bowlers with a 79-run stand, delaying India’s victory.
In the bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah picked up three wickets each, while Mohammed Siraj struck early with the key dismissal of Hope.
Despite West Indies’ late fightback, India’s balanced performance with both bat and ball ensured a clean sweep in the series.
