
New Delhi, March 13: A golden opportunity has emerged for young women aspiring to join the Indian Army. The Indian Army has released an official notification for the recruitment of six Short Service Commission Officer positions for female candidates under the NCC Special Entry Scheme (124th Course – October 2026).
The online application process for these positions has commenced, with the deadline set for March 16. Eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to submit their registration forms within this timeframe.
Only unmarried women with a graduation degree from a recognized institution or university can apply. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of service in the NCC Senior Division/Wing and hold a minimum ‘B’ grade in the NCC ‘C’ certificate. Dependents of soldiers who have sacrificed their lives in combat are also eligible to apply for these positions.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 19 years, while the maximum age is 25 years, calculated as of July 1.
Selection will be based on shortlisting, interviews, medical examinations, merit lists, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official Indian Army website. After reaching the homepage, they should click on the application link related to the announced positions. Following this, candidates must register and log in. They should fill in all required information in the form, upload necessary documents, photos, and signatures in the correct size and format, review the form, and then submit it. Finally, candidates should print the application form for future reference.
