
New Delhi: The Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) on Saturday announced the Indian men’s team for a historic five-match mixed disability T20 international series against England. This landmark series is scheduled to take place from 29 January to 6 February, with matches hosted in Greater Noida and Jaipur.
Inclusive Team Selection and Leadership
Ravindra Sante has been appointed as the captain of the Indian team, with Vivek Kumar named as the vice-captain. The squad is a unique blend of players with physical disabilities, hearing impairments (deaf), and intellectual disabilities, all competing together in the same international format. This series marks a significant step forward in promoting inclusive cricket at the global level.
Series Venues and Preparation
The first three matches will be held at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Greater Noida, while the final two T20 internationals will be played in Jaipur. India’s preparations have been intense, with the national training camp concluding on Saturday. The team will depart for Greater Noida on 25 January ahead of the opening match.

On the team announcement, DCCI Secretary General Ravi Kant Chauhan said, “This Indian team reflects the depth and diversity of mixed disability cricket in the country. The players have shown excellent commitment during the training camp. The series against England will be a key platform to showcase India’s progress. Such international exposure is crucial to strengthen this format and inspire new players.”
England’s team, led by captain Calum Flynn, arrived in India on Friday. After their commanding 6-1 victory at home in 2025 against India in the inaugural mixed disability international series, the England side comes with confidence. Their squad balances experienced players with young talent.
